FOLLOW THESE BASIC STEPS TO WINTERIZE YOUR IRRIGATION SYSTEM

Winterizing your irrigation system is really pretty simple:

-Turn off the water to the irrigation system at main valve.
-Set the automatic irrigation controller to the "rain" setting.
-Turn on each of the valves to release pressure in the pipes.
-Drain all of the water out of any irrigation components that might freeze.
-Insulate any exposed piping and the backflow, most landscape companies reccomened purchasing a fitted insulated bag (purchasing information provided in previous blog) You may also purchase different types of isulation kits at any local hardware store.

If you have questions or concerns regarding these procedures please contact me, and i will make sure that you recieve the proper steps to protect your irrigation system.

Bus Stop Information

The Association has contacted the local school transporation company to see if all buses could pick up kids inside the entrance of the community and not out on Orangeburg Rd. Currently, the elementary and high school stops are located with in the community and the middle school stop is on Orangeburg Rd. It was stated by the Tranportation office that since the middle school bus route is on the outside lane, which would cause the bus to cross oncoming traffic to enter the subdivision, they would not change the stop unless in the future the bus was routed differently. It was stated that entering the community would cause a major delay in the route and wouldn't adhere to the current time schedule. I would suggest as a community that we voice our safety concerns individually in hopes to make our collective voice heard. Please contact 843-873-6196 to voice your questions and concerns. I am sure something can be done to ensure the kids safety.
